Ordering and Prices....  and Terms of Service
Gen.e.elle Galleries

When you commission any type of our high quality pictures, you will enter into a relationship with us – whether that relationship remains as a purely one-off business association, or develops into a regular customer connection – or even into a friendship, you can be assured that you will receive our best attention and service at all times.

We will not tell you lies, make false promises or exaggerate claims of quality – and if at            anytime you think we have, we will refund you (and in many cases even compensate you)       without question.
We have a great deal of confidence in our artist’s ability and talents, and above all, their commitment to producing the best work they can every time. We take as much pride in our achievement with every painting or drawing as we hope you do when presenting the picture as a gift, or a reward – or hanging it on your own wall.
Our main business at Gen.e.elle Galleries is taking on commissions and creating art works to order. And most of the pictures on these web pages are used only as a representation of the quality and versatility of our artists.

Occasionally our artists will put some of their own personal works up for sale – We will of course advertise when this happens.)
To order –
All we require in the first instance is your initial inquiry to our e-mail address.. gen.e.elle@gmail.com

The next step...

is to send (e-mail) a photograph and we will advise you if it will make (be the basis for) a good painting or drawing.

Then if you wish to go ahead with the commission we will quote you a price and the required deposit to start the picture.

(Please note that the "Portrait Posters and Personality Posters" have to be paid for in full before we start the picture – this is because priority in the order of completion is given to pre-paid pictures.)
Remember - that even though you have paid for the picture you are still not committed to keeping it – and should you not want it, for any reason, just simply send it back for a refund. (However, please note we do not refund the postage costs either way – so the price of the postage remains your only risk in purchasing from us.)
We will then give you an approximate delivery date and as soon as we receive your initial payment (full payment in the case of the Portrait or Personality Posters) we will start the picture...
As a rough guide –
We usually deliver oil paintings (depending on demand) within 4 – 6 weeks of order
Poster Portraits -  within 2 - 3 weeks of order
Acrylic paintings - within 2 - 4 weeks of order
Pencil drawings  - within 3 - 4 weeks of order
When your picture is finally completed (to our satisfaction) It will be sent registered International post (or if requested by courier service).
if after all our best efforts we are not totally happy with the outcome, we will contact you, let you know how we feel and maybe offer the picture at a reduced price, or accept your refusal and of course refund your payment immediately and compensate you by sending you one of our prints or other agreed upon product……however this has not happened yet!

The final step is (we hope) that you will acknowledge receipt of the picture and congratulate us on a job well done! Or (we hope not) send it back for a full refund!
Any photograph that you e-mail to us will be deleted from our files as soon as the picture is finished - and of course (not that we should need to say this) will not be used for any other purpose.

Prices...
We have already stated on our ‘about us’ page that we are not interested at all in becoming the biggest or ‘best’ (whatever that is?) Art Gallery on the Web. We just want to make new friends by providing the very best work we can - at value-for-money prices - and be talked about in complimentary terms.
Talking about prices – there is often a lot of hype surrounding art…..

“ I have been teaching Art, to adults and students of all ages, for more than 28 years and have been involved in a great many aspects of the art world. Having studied art  from an early age and having exhibited my work many times in 3 different countries, I still have no idea how art works are priced. Some very basic and frankly, technically poor at best, “Modern” paintings are often advertised and sold at, I think, unjustifiably high prices. I can appreciate someone innovating and developing a new ‘style’ and pricing the work according to the demand it creates – and of course rarity has its value. But the time involved, effort expended, technical skill (and experience) involved, commitment to putting sufficient work in to achieve the desired result, and above all the artist having a high personal standard of achievement, should be the main factors in determining the value of art.  Some people think that the more they pay the better or more valuable the art must be, of course this is not always the case“
Geoff Barraclough

With these factors in mind our work at Gen.e.elle Galleries should be very expensive, however being located in Thailand with a relatively low cost of living, our overheads are low and hourly rates of pay considerably lower than Europe or USA. We pass on these savings to our customers or clients, rather than taking them as extra profits, with the result of being able to offer very high quality art at great value-for-money prices.
As each commission has to be priced individually based on the style of  the picture required, the complexity of the subject matter and the time involved - the following prices are guides - “ball-park” - figures only….

Postage charges vary greatly depending on the size of the picture, whether it is supplied attached to the stretch frame or sent in a tube - and if it is framed or not. However we promise that the more value your order has, the more we will subsidize the cost of the postage and in any event we will not add on more than a maximum of $25.00 for 7 – 10 days post and $50.00 for 2-3 day courier service for framed pictures.
Pictures sent in a tube will have a maximum charge of $9.00 for 7 - 10 day delivery and $25.00 for 2-3 day service.

(We can arrange to deliver almost anywhere in the World).

We can also supply your picture ready framed. We have a framing facility and if you wish we can frame your commission at our cost price (you only pay for the materials).
The example above is  a 80 x 70 cm's painting - the approximate price of this double frame would be $65.00.
